Kevin Grief

My name is Kevin Grief. I enlisted in the Marine Corps in October of 2008 and spent 4 years on active duty. During my time on active duty I deployed on the USS Enterprise for 6 months in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation New Dawn. I also spent time in Bahrain during my enlistment. I was honorably discharged at the end of 2012. When I first came home I just kept to myself and closed people out. I started college but couldn’t concentrate so I stopped going after one semester. I have gotten involved in various veteran events which have helped me to relate to other veterans more. Also since being home I have not been working out or been active as much. This opportunity motivates me to get into better shape again. I have completed various bike rides with the Wounded Warrior Project but achieving this goal would be an awesome experience for me because I have never completed a triathlon. Training for and completing triathlons would help motivate me into a more healthy lifestyle. I would love to be able to train with other veterans to complete this together.
